PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of a protruding defect of an enamel wire in which detection accuracy is improved, a protruding defect detection apparatus for the enamel wire and a protruding defect detection system for the enamel wire.SOLUTION: According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a detection method of a protruding defect of an enamel wire for detecting a protruding defect of the enamel wire while applying paint to a core wire of the enamel wire to form insulation coating. The detection method of the protruding defect of the enamel wire including the steps of: detecting changes in forces in a running direction of the core wires applied to a plurality of dies 2a-2f through sensors 4a, 4b while the core wires pass through the plurality of dies 2a-2f and converting the changes into electric signals; and determining the presence of the protruding defect when a group of signals having periodicity is detected from among the electric signals.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a painting die for a flat square enamel wire, along with a method of manufacturing a flat square enamel wire using it, capable of stably forming an insulation film having a constant film thickness around the entire circumference of a flat square conductor while suppressing unwanted thickness deviation phenomenon.SOLUTION: The painting die for painting an insulation paint around a flat square wire, has a plurality of die components having a groove at a predetermined position in an arrangement in which, with an air gap part whose cross section is square being provided so that the flat square wire is inserted, the groove is disposed at a position to face the surface of the flat square wire inserted in the air gap part. The groove that is disposed at the position facing a corner region of the flat square wire is smaller than the groove disposed at the position facing a flat region of the flat square wire.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paint applying apparatus which can apply paint on a wire material without hindrance even when using paint of a type that is modified (cured) in a short time, and to provide a method for manufacturing an enameled wire.SOLUTION: A first paint 11 which is supplied from a first paint tank 12 and a second paint 13 which is supplied from a second paint tank 14 are mixed by a mixer 15 and supplied to a paint bath 18. Coating dies 19A to 19F are connected to the paint bath 18 through tubes 20A to 20F. A wire material 3 is introduced to the coating dies 19A to 19F through holes 20a formed in the tubes 20A to 20F. A paint 2 supplied to the paint bath 18 flows and drops inside the tubes 20A to 20F due to its self-weight, is continuously supplied to the coating dies 19A to 19F, and is applied on the surface of the wire material 3 by the coating dies 19A to 19F.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide insulation wire having a high partial discharge start voltage even if the thickness of an extrusion coating layer is thin without reducing the adhesion between a conductor and an insulation coating.SOLUTION: The insulation wire includes an insulation coating formed on a conductor. The insulation coating is composed of a resin composition made by mixing a resin (A) composed of polyphenylene sulfide and a resin (B) composed of an olefinic system copolymer resin by a weight ratio range of (B)/(A)=20/80 to 70/30. A heat treatment is performed at such a temperature that a crystal of the resin (A) in the extrusion coating layer is melted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide insulating paint having both a favorable dispersing property for silica fine particles and a coating property to a conductor having a rectangular section and an insulated wire with an insulating film which is formed by using such insulating paint.SOLUTION: The insulating paint is produced by mixing polyamide imide resin paint composed of a solvent and polyamide imide resin and organo silica sol and used for the insulated wire with the insulating film formed on the conductor having the rectangular section. In this case, the organo silica sol is the insulating paint in which the silica fine particles are dispersed in the dispersion solvent containing 70 to 100% of annular ketones having a boiling point ranging from 130°C to 180°C.
