PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device capable of reducing damage to a sheet.SOLUTION: In a sheet transport device including: a first rotor 31; a second rotor 32 disposed opposite to the first rotor 31; and energizing means 33 for energizing the second rotor 32 to the first rotor 31 side, a sheet P2 is transported while being held between the first rotor 31 and the second rotor 32. The second rotor 32 has a small-diameter part 34 opposite to a transport part 31b of the first rotor 31 and a large-diameter part 35 disposed in a position axially shifted with respect to the transport part 31b of the first rotor 31 and formed in a larger diameter than the small-diameter part 34. The second rotor 32 is configured so that the rotation axis 32a is inclined with respect to the rotation axis 31a of the first rotor 31 as viewed in the sheet transport direction and the end part at the side of the large-diameter part 35 is displaceable in the direction of separating with respect to the rotation axis 31a of the first rotor 31.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder, capable of lowering a sheet loading member to a sheet loading position quietly when sheet loading quantity is large, and quickly when the sheet loading quantity is small, and an image forming device provided with that. SOLUTION: In lowering the sheet loading member toward the loading position, lowering speed of the sheet loading member is controlled by a lowering speed control means 30A comprising an energization mean 38 to energize the sheet loading member in the lowering direction to speed up the lowering speed, and a brake means 35 to restrict lowering speed of the sheet loading member. The sheet loading member with smaller loading quantity is quickly lowered to the sheet loading position by controlling energization force of the energization means 38 of the lowering speed control means 30A in such a way that impact when the sheet loading member reaches the loading position is prescribed size or less, and in such a size that the sheet loading member is lowered to the loading position within prescribed time when the sheet loading member lowers.
