Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To beautifully show a folded printed material printed by a printer or the like when a printed material is folded and stored in an envelope-shaped case bound in a binder, when a printed material itself is bound in a folded fashion in a binder and stored, and when a printed material is folded and put in a case or box with a particular size.SOLUTION: When a document 701 is printed, a paper folding size is specified. Then, an output sheet size is determined based on a size equal to an integral number times the specified paper folding size, to obtain a print material 705 having a size equal to an integral number times the specified paper folding size.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print title information so that head and bottom align on both surfaces of each tab of a tab paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus prints the title information on each tab of the tab paper. The image forming apparatus includes: a layout means that creates and lays out the title information using information on the tab paper that is set by a printing job to be received so that the top and bottom of each tab of the tab paper is aligned; and a printing means that prints the title information on both surfaces of each tab of the tab paper to be conveyed using the title information laid out by the layout means.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an output result desired by a user while suppressing the lowering of productivity when executing a job that must execute both of one-sided printing and two-sided printing.SOLUTION: Printing control is performed such that an image of a first surface, contained in images of the pages to be subjected to the two-sided printing following the page to be subjected to the one-sided printing, is printed prior to the image of the page to be subjected to the one-sided printing, and such that the image of the page to be subjected to the one-sided printing is printed on a sheet between the printing of the image of the first surface and the image of a second surface contained in the images to be subjected to the two-sided printing and wherein in a case where sheets having a predetermined order are to be used for a job, the job is controlled such that the printing control is not performed.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption in radiating light on a display medium when recording an image in an optical recording type display medium. SOLUTION: A recording apparatus that radiates light on electronic paper 200 being an optical recording type display medium uses recording light radiated from a main light source 130a through a lens 130b, and auxiliary light radiated from an auxiliary light source 130c for the light radiated when an image is recorded on the electronic paper 200. An image is recorded by the change in a reflection ratio of the electronic paper 200 in response to the energy of the radiated recording light and the auxiliary light. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit reprinting in the case of an error in which an actual printing region of recording paper or a printing image itself is not damaged without using an expensive sensor. SOLUTION: When the occurrence of a predetermined error is detected during the formation of the printing image 11c by an inkjet head 13 to the actual printing region E1 on a label 11a, the printer 1 reprints the label 11a which is formed with the printing image 11c at the time of the occurrence of the error. If the occurrence of a specified error such as a paper jam error or a mechanical error having a possibility of damaging the recording paper 11 or the label 11a is detected when a non-printing region E2 on the label 11a passes a printing position by the inkjet head 13, the printer reprints the printing image 11c on the actual printing region E1 printed immediately before the occurrence of the error. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique producing a tab sheet with tab images formed on both its surfaces without bothering hands of a user. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus 1 includes: an image reading part 20 acquiring document image data of including text image data and tab image data; an image formation part 43 forming an image, based on the document image data, on a paper sheet having a first surface and a second surface being the back face of the first surface; a reversing transport path 42c reversing and transporting the paper sheet with the image based on the document image data formed on the first surface to the image formation part again; and a control part 110 dividing the document image data into the text image data and the tab image data, forming a text image and a tab image on the first surface based on the document image data, and thereafter executing control of forming a tab image based on the tab image data at a plane-symmetric position of the position of the tab image formed on the first surface in the second surface of the paper sheet reversed and transported by the reversing transport path 42c.
