Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having improved cleaning performance and image reproducibility even when used for a long period of time, and to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus having the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The surface of the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor has a plurality of recesses independent from one another. When the major axis diameter of the recess is represented by Rpc and the distance between the deepest part and the opening plane of the recess is represented by Rdv, the ratio of the depth to the major axis diameter (Rdv/Rpc) is greater than 1.0 and not greater than 7.0. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanently repeatedly usable organic photoconductor for positive charging, which has excellent surface release characteristics, therefore ensures high efficiency transfer of toner particles. SOLUTION: The organic photoconductor for positive charging contains a conductive substrate component, a hydroxyl-containing binder component forming a layer having a thickness of about 1 μm or more on a substrate, a phthalocyanine pigment component uniformly distributed in the entire binder component and having formula (A), and a reactive stabilizer component selected from the group comprising polysiloxanes, organosilane compounds and Si-containing porous fillers and uniformly dispersed in the entire binder component. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color toner by which highly glossy images can be obtained and documents having excellent long-term storage properties can be obtained, an electrostatic latent image developer, and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The color toner contains at least a binder resin and a coloring matter. The weight average molecular weight of the binder resin ranges from 6,000 to 45,000; the glass transition temperature (Tg) ranges from 40 to 70°C; the dynamic tangent loss tanδof the dynamic viscoelasticity in a temperature region where the modulus loss (G'') attains 1×10 5 Pa from the glass transition temperature (Tg) ranges from 0.1 to 2.5; the toner contains 3 to 20mass% ester derivative of an alicyclic compound having one or more carboxyl groups. The electrostatic latent image developer and the image forming method use the above color toner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent electrophotographic sensitive body having high transparency, keeping it, and preventing the flowing of a toner by incorporating a specified amount of a phthalyl glycolate deriv. or a benzyl phthalate deriv. into a photoconductive layer contg. brominated polyvinylcarbazole. CONSTITUTION:When a photoconductive layer contg. brominated polyvinylcarbazole is formed on an electrically conductive transparent film to obtain a transparent electrophotographic sensitive body, a phthalyl glycolate deriv. or a benzyl phthalate deriv. is incorporated into the photoconductive layer by 0.1- 50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. brominated polyvinylcarbazole. Even when the resulting transparent electrophotographic sensitive body is heated, the electrophotographic characteristics are not deteriorated, and the sensitive body does not get cloudy and keeps its transparency, so the drying of the photoconductive layer can be carried out at a higher temp. Accordingly, the drying is accelerated, and the productivity is considerably improved.

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled photoreceptor superior in charging characteristics, sensitivity, and humidity resistance, by forming on a substrate a photoconductive layer contg. a silane coupling agent and a specified photoconductor powder dispersed into a binder. CONSTITUTION:In an electrophotographic receptor comprising a substrate and the photoconductive layer formed on the substrate and contg. the photoconductive powder dispersed into a binder, said powder is a phthalocyanine photoconductor powder, and the photoconductive layer contains a silane coupling agent having the shown formula in which R is alkyl, phenyl, a vinyl contg. group, epoxy contg. group, or amino contg. group; Y is alkyl or a hydrolyzable group; and X is a hydrolyzable group. Since the silane coupling agent reacts with said powder to couple with it, enhancing wettability of the powder and the binder, and its dispersibility, superior electrophotographic characteristics, and high humidity resistance and durability are exhibited, and further, superior image quality can be obtained, and reproducibility of manufacture is improved.
