摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain secretin of high purity and activity industrially with ease, by purifying crude secretin by the reversed phase high-speed liquid chromatography with an acid or a mixed solvent of a salt thereof with an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A crude secretin, e.g. natural secretin obtained from a pig duodenum as a source or a synthetic secretin, is purified by the reversed phase high- speed chromatrography with an acid, e.g. hydrochloric acid, trifluoroacetic acid or perchloric acid, or a mixed solvent of a salt of the acid with an organic solvent, e.g., acetonitrile, methyl alcohol or ethyl alcohol, as an eluent to give the aimed secretin having >=5,000cu/mg biological activity thereof. USE:A test reagent for pancreatic function and remedy for duodenal ulcer having the promoting action on the extrapancreatic secretion, inhibitory action on gastric acid secretion by the stimulation with gastrin, liberating action on insulin, etc.
