Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide possibility sufficient sink of damping force for an input vibration, which has larger velocity in the compression direction, by furnishing a means to quicken the mass body speed to open a bypass relative to its shutting speed when a relative displacement is generated between the mass body and a partitioning member. CONSTITUTION:When impact is applied from a road surface, a liquid pressure damper shrinks. If the shock is large, a partitioning member 12 in a single piece with a cylinder 62 accelerates upward abruptly and moves, producing a relative movement with the partitioning member 12 because the mass body 14 remains at a standstill. The mass body 14 moves downward in accordance wit this amount of motion so as to open a bypass 22. In a liquid passage in the initial stage of shrinkage of this liquid pressure damper a large damping force is generated in normal initial stage because the flow area of an orifice 20 as a damping force generating means is small. Because the bypass 22 is opened according to this impact force, the passage for the liquid will become two systems leading to a port 26 from the bypass 22 and the 20. Accordingly enlarging the flow area of the bypass 22 will remarkably reduce the damping force due to the liquid flowing through the orifice 20.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in riding quality and travelability to an irregular road surface, by judging the extent of vertical displacement on the road surface on the basis of relative displacement between each wheel and a car body and relative travel speed and, when the vertical displacement on the road surface is more than the specified value, increasing or decreasing such force that works between the wheel and the car body. CONSTITUTION:Each servo actuator 1 is installed in each wheel 2, and in each servo actuator 1, there is provided with an actuator 4 at an interval between each wheel 2 and a car body 3. A hydraulic servo valve 12 is interconnected to each of upper and lower chambers 7 and 8, constituting the actuator 4, for example, partitioned off by a piston inside a cylinder 5 via respective conduits 10 an 11. In addition, this hydraulic servo valve 12 is controlled by a voltage signal to be inputted via an adder 15 and an amplifier 16. And an input signal into this adder 15 is constituted of a reference control signal for controlling the hydraulic servo valve 12 and a control signal for displacement out of a reference position of the piston 6 to the cylinder 5 or relative travel speed of the piston 6 to the cylinder 5.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the comfortability and control stability of a vehicle during abrupt acceleration and turning, by detecting vehicle accelerations to calculate variations in load between wheels and a vehicle body, being accompanied with the acceleration, in order to control actuators. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 19-21 detect an acceleration alpha widthwise of a vehicle, a roll angle acceleration gamma and a longitudinal acceleration beta which are then delivered to amplifiers 22, 23, 29. Either one of vehicle-widthwise and roll-angle accelerations alpha, gamma is selected in accordance with the directions of the accelerations by means of a change-over switch 24, and front and rear wheel control amounts with respect to variations in load between the wheels and the vehicle body in accordance with the accelerations are delivered to right side servo-actuators 1fr, 1rr through distributors 25, 26, and are reversed in their signs by reversing units 27, 28 and then delivered to left side servo- actuators 1fl, 1rl. Similarly, the front and rear servo-actuators 1fr, 1fl, 1rr, 1rl are controlled in accordance with the longitudinal acceleration beta. With this arrangement, it is possible to enhance the comfortability and control stability of the vehicle.
