Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a current-collector from eluted even if the use period of an electrode becomes longer, by a method wherein a carbon intermediate film or a metal intermediate film nobler than a conductive material film is provided on the collector formed of a conductive material, and an material layer is applied on the carbon intermediate film or the metal intermediate film. SOLUTION: A deposition unit having a carbon electrode with the sharpened point and a rod-shaped electrode is used and a carbon intermediate film 2 is formed on the surface of a current-collector 1 in a state such that the collector 1 is housed in a vacuum chamber of container of the deposition unit. The thickness of the film 2 is formed in a thickness of several nm, in short, 2 to 7 nm or thereabouts. Here, fine carbon grains are deposited on the collector 1. The reason for the deposition is guessed to be a reason that as the point part of the carbon electrode (k) is sharpened, the contact area of the contact site of the carbon electrode with the rod-shaped electrode is reduced, the electric resistance at the contact site is increased and the caloric value of the carbon electrode is increased. After that, an active material layer 3 is applied on the surface (surface and rear) of the collector 1 formed with the film 2.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a capacitor or battery, by subjecting a collector formed out of a conductive material to a heat treatment to form oxide films on its surfaces. SOLUTION: A foil-form collector 1 having a predetermined size and formed out of a conductive material of aluminum (Al: about 99.99 wt.%) is used. The thickness of this collector 1 is set to about 50 μm. Then, after using an electric furnace integrating thereinto an electric heater and storing the foil-form collector 1 in the furnace chamber of the electric furnace, it is subjected to a heat treatment at a heating temperature of about 200-500 deg.C under the atmospheric air or a reduced-pressure atmosphere in a predetermined time to form oxide films 2 on both its surfaces (front and rear). The thickness of the oxide film 2 is set to about 3-15 μm. It is estimated that the crystallinity of the oxide film 2 is high. Thereafter, the collector 1 is coated with an active-substance layer 3. As a result, even when the collector 1 is used in a long term, its constituent conductive material can be suppressed from dissolving into an electrolyte.

SOLUTION: An oxidation catalyst 1 for purifying at least HC contained in a exhaust gas by oxidation is arranged on the upstream side of an exhaust gas flow path, and a sulfate occluding reduction catalyst 2 for capturing a generated sulfate as a sulfate and at the same time, reducing the captured sulfate to SO2 is arranged on the downstream side of the exhaust gas flow path 30. The sulfate generated by the oxidation catalyst 1 is occluded by the sulfate occluding reduction catalyst 2, further, is reduced by the catalyst 2 as SO2 which is, in turn, discharged.

CONSTITUTION:Chambers 6 charged with liquid are opened at four positions equally divided on the outer periphery at the center part divided half in the axial direction on a vibrationproof basic body 2. An outer cylinder 3 consists of a cylindrical rigid body, and an opening 8 is formed in penetration, close to each chamber 6, onto the peripheral wall part corresponding to each chamber 6. A sealing rubber layer 4 is attached onto the outer periphery of the outer cylinder 3, and the part corresponding to the opening part 8 is opened. A liquid pipe having an opening/closing valve at each liquid inlet/outlet 9 is connected to a liquid line, and the pressure of the liquid charging the inside of each chamber 6 is adjusted to the atmospheric pressure or more, and thus the spring constant is varied.

SOLUTION: In a power steering device adopting a non-recirculating ball screw B, balls 26 arranged between spiral grooves 23c and 24a are rotatably held by a cage 25 arranged along an axial direction on an outer periphery of a screw shaft 23b. The ball 26 is roughly assembled on an axially center portion of the cage 25. The balls 26 are tightly assembled onto axially both ends of the cage 25. When a car runs straight, the balls 26 assembled on the axially center portion of the cage 25 are arranged between the spiral grooves 23c and 24a. When the steering is turned to right or left direction, the balls 26 on axially both ends of the cage 25 are arranged between the spiral grooves 23c and 24a.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration in NOx purification performance after Cong term duration by preventing the sulfur poisoning of a NOx absorbent while keeping initial NOx purifying rate. CONSTITUTION: This catalyst is made by carrying the NOx absorbent, selected from a Ti-Zr conjugate oxide, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, a rare earth element, and a catalyst noble metal on an alumina carrier. The acidity of the alumina carrier itself is increased by carrying the Ti-Zr conjugate oxide and since it is considered that the adsorption of SOx to alumina is decreased with the increase of the acidity of the alumina carrier because of the acidity of SOx, the sulfur poisoning of the NOx absorbent due to the absorption of SOx is prevented.

The characteristics of the selected oxide and alumina are exhibited and the poisoning of the NOx absorbent by sulfur is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a fixed non-sensitive area without damping of vibration by discharging air in a cylinder and preventing leak of liquid by fitting an elastic deformable seal material to an air vent hole provided on a rod guide. CONSTITUTION:A clearance which becomes an air vent hole 28 is formed between a rod guide 18 and a piston rod 22. This air vent hole 28 has a size to which air can pass but oil cannot pass. An elastic deformable seal material 32 closing the air vent hole 28 is provided under the lower end of the rod guide 18, and when air of upper portion of a cylinder 12 is slipped off, the seal material seals the air vent hole 28 to prevent oil leakage. And by elastic deformation of the seal material 32, non-sensitive area in which no damping force is generated can be set to a fixed size.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor which is improved in durability by suppressing the eluation of the material of current collecting bodies into the electrolytic solution of the capacitor. SOLUTION: This capacitor is constituted by dipping electrodes 1 which are formed by holding an active material 121 on current collecting bodies 11 composed of a conductive metal in the electrolytic solution 2 containing an inhibitor against elution of metallic ion which inhibits the elution of the conductive metal into the solution 2. When the conductive metal is aluminum or an aluminum alloy and the solution 2 is an organic solution, it is preferable to use one or more kinds selected out of benzoic acids and their salts and esters as the inhibitor. It is particularly preferable to use methyl benzonate as the inhibitor.

When charging and discharging are made to suspend in a state such that the capacitors are discharged, electrolyte deposited in fine holes of electrode activator is eluted in an electrolytic solution, and the function of the capacitors is recovered.
