Abstract: PURPOSE:To form an internal gear excellent in shape and accuracy by rotating a gear forming punch on the inside of a cylindrical base material for forming an internal gear, pressurizing the cylindrical base material and reducing its diameter. CONSTITUTION:The punch 12 having a tooth form corresponding to the tooth form of the internal gear is fitted in the internal circumferential surface of the cylindrical base material 22 to form the internal gear, plural recessed forming dies 20 which can move in the radial direction of the punch 12 and whose surfaces on the punch side nearly correspond to the external circumferential surface of the internal gear approach to or separate from the punch 12 several times as an amount of approach to the punch 12 is increase gradually, when the forming dies 20 are separated from the cylindrical base material 22, the punch 12, the cylindrical base material 22 and the forming dies 20 are rotated mutually and a part corresponding to a clearance between the external circumferential surface of the cylindrical base material 22 and the adjacent forming dies is changed to reduce the diameter of the cylindrical base material 22. The adhesion of the punch to the internal circumferential surface of the cylindrical base material 22 is improved, further, the distribution of stresses in the base material is uniformized, and a gear excellent in dimensional accuracy can be formed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent misfire at the time of burning a laminated layer in a cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine for injecting fuel into a comparatively thin flat fan shape. SOLUTION: This engine comprises an ignition plug, a cavity 8 formed on a top face of a piston, and a fuel injection valve 7 for injecting fuel into the cavity in a comparatively thin flat fan shape. The cavity has a bottom wall 8a, an opposite side wall 8b opposed to the fuel injection valve, and a return part 8c arranged on the opposite side wall and deflecting the fuel running on the opposite side wall in an inside direction of the cavity. The opposite side wall, when viewed from a flat face, has a portion composed of one part of an oval shape with an injection hole position of the fuel injection valve as one focal point HC and the position near the ignition plug as the other focal point MC. The position near the ignition plug as the other focal point is separated from a center line PC of the ignition plug to the fuel injection valve side.

SOLUTION: This cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine comprises an ignition plug, a cavity 802 formed in the top face of a piston, and a fuel injection nozzle 7 injecting fuel into the cavity in generally rather thin fan shape. The cavity comprises side walls deflected so that fuel can generally pass near the ignition plug. A plurality of deflection guiding projected parts 22 deflecting fuel in lateral direction are provided in the cavity.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the change of the shape of a pulley by the eccentric abrasion, and also retain the surface roughness of a surface and reduce loss of power, by controlling holding pressure in a previously set timing so that sliding can be applied to a transmission belt when changing a speed. SOLUTION: In a belt type continuously variable transmission 16 in which movable rotors 50, 52 are moved by a primary side hydraulic cylinder 54 and a secondary hydraulic cylinder 56, thereby V groove width of variable pulleys 40, 42, namely, the hanging diameter of a transmission belt 44 is changed, so that a transmission gear ratio is changed, oil pressure of the primary and secondary side hydraulic cylinders 54, 56 is controlled by an oil pressure control circuit 60, and this oil pressure control circuit 60 is controlled by an ECU 62. Then, when a speed is changed at the time of speed reduction, holding pressure is controlled so that sliding can be applied to the transmission belt 44. Hereby, the whole contact surface among the transmission belt 44 and the variable pulleys 40, 42 is worn, eccentric abrasion can be prevented, and the contact width of the transmission belt 44 can be always secured in a predetermined width.

A cavity 10 which is depressed toward gas flowing space is formed on the wall surface of the assembly part which is close to the weld bead 8 and one of the assembly parts located on the engine main body 1 side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a sand core for forming a water passage in a cylinder head so as to be capable of efficiently cooling a section where the upper wall of a combustion chamber and the surrounding wall of an ignition plug hole intersect, as well as a method for manufacturing a cylinder head, using the sand core. CONSTITUTION:Regarding a sand core for forming a water passage 1 in a cylinder head having a combustion chamber 4 where three or more ports are connected around an ignition plug, a support section for mounting an annular tube member 6 not melting into molten metal is mounted at core sections left between core cavities for forming each port laid around the cavities at the formation process of an ignition plug hole 2. Constitution is so made that the member 6 comes to be laid around an ignition plug hole machining section in a product after casting. Thereafter, a cylinder head is cast, using the sand core having the annular tube member 6 at the support section. After casting the cylinder head, a tool is inserted from a sand drain hole emptied of the sand core, and the member 6 is drilled at two or more positions.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a contact area between a valve face and a valve seat at a high temperature by forming a gap between a valve seat ring and a port only at a portion opposite to a portion where temperature shows the highest value in a combustion chamber of a cylinder head, across a center of the valve seat ring. CONSTITUTION:The highest portion in temperature is denoted by a numeral 7 in a combustion chamber of a cylinder head 1. A valve seat ring 5 is fitted in an intake port 2. A gap 8 is formed in an outlet of the intake port 2 to the combustion chamber in respect to a wall surface of the cylinder head 1. Similarly, a gap 9 is formed between a valve seat ring 6 and a wall surface of the cylinder head 1, at an outlet of an intake port 3 lead to the combustion chamber, in which port 3 the valve seat ring 6 is fitted. It is thus possible to reduce a contact area between a valve face and the valve seat at a high temperature, and to prevent partial arrangement of valves and partial abrasion thereof.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a gall from generation and to easily pull an internal gear out of the tooth die after it is formed by generating a temperature difference between a punch and a formed internal gear so that the temperature of the punch is lower than that of the formed internal gear. CONSTITUTION:A billet 22 is contracted in diameter by plural forming dies 20 which fit a billet 22 to a mandrel punch 12 provided with a tooth die 14 corresponding to the teeth on the outer peripheral surface, can move in the radial direction of the punch 12 and whose surfaces on the punch side form a recessed surface corresponding nearly to the outer peripheral surface of the internal gear 70 and plural teeth are formed on the inner peripheral surface. Thereafter, the temperature of the punch 12 is lowered to that of the internal gear 70. Therefore, the temperature of the punch 12 is lowered than that of the internal gear 70, and the punch 12 is contracted in diameter, the clamping force of the punch 12 by the internal gear 70 is reduced and a small clearance is generated between the internal gear 70 and the punch 12. Consequently, when the internal gear 70 is pulled out, the internal gear 70 can be pulled easily out of punch 12.
