SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is provided with a housing 3 having the first and second injection ports 4 and 5 at its tip part, a main valve element 1 housed in the housing to be liftable and a sub valve element 2 arranged between the tip part of the housing and the main valve element. When both main and sub valve elements are lifted in such a manner that they are detached from the inner wall of the housing, a fuel is injected from the first and second injection ports. Further, when the main valve element is lifted so as to detach from the housing inner wall in such a state that the sub valve element is seated thereon, the fuel is injected from the first port. Accordingly, the lifting operations of the main and sub valve elements can be controlled individually.
