    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for identifying an agent inducing DOPAchrome tautomerase (TRP-2) expression, to provide a method for evaluating the cytoprotective activity of the agent, and to provide a method for using the agent inducing the expression.
    SOLUTION: There is provided the use of the agent inducing the DOPAchrome tautomerase expression as a protecting agent for hair follicle melanocytes in cosmetics. Furthermore, there are provided a specific cosmetic composition for fighting against canities comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium at least one agent inducing the DOPAchrome tautomerase (TRP-2) expression, and uses thereof. In addition, there are provided a method for treating white hair, and a method for preserving natural pigmentation of gray or white hair by applying a cosmetic composition comprising at least one agent inducing the DOPAchrome tautomerase expression. Finally, there are provided the method for identifying the agent inducing the DOPAchrome tautomerase (TRP-2) expression, and the method for evaluating the cytoprotective activity of the agent.
