    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body enhanced in char acteristics bearing repeated uses without impairing sensitivity and superior in storage stability by incorporating a compound having an intramolecular ammonium salt in the electrophotographic sensitive body provided with a layer containing an electrostatic charge generating material on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body provided with the layer containing the charge generating material incorporates the compound having the intramolecular ammonium salt, preferably, one of the compounds represented by general formula I-IV in which R1 is alkylene or phenylene; each of R2-R4 is H, alkyl, or aryl; X is an anion; each of R5 and R6 is cycloalkyl; R7 is H or alkyl; each of R6-R10 is cross-linked cycloalkyl; each of R11-R15 is H, alkyl, or aryl and each may form optionally substituted rings at >=2 optional sites.
