    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink ribbon in which leakage of information from a transferred ink ribbon can be prevented. SOLUTION: In an ink ribbon for use in color printing, black mark sections for detecting ribbon color of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) are admixed with thermosetting adhesive. Since a black line for performing color detection of the ink ribbon is bonded to a wound ink ribbon through heating of a thermal head, secrecy of print content can be sustained without requiring an extra mechanism for preventing leakage of secrete information.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette which can be highly precisely positioned and set also in a tape printer that adopts either system of front loading and bottom loading.
    SOLUTION: The tape cassette 1 consists of two of an upper case 2 and an upper case 3 of different heights from each other. A common part 52 with a height T and formed symmetrically in an up-down direction with respect to a center line N in a height direction of the tape cassette 1 is provided in the tape cassette 1. The height T of the common part 52 is set to be the same size regardless of a tape width of a film tape 17 or the like. Moreover, pin holes 53 and 54 are formed to be symmetric in the up-down direction to the common part 52 of the tape cassette 1. Two positioning pins 72 and 73 erected from a cassette mounting part X are inserted in the pin holes 53 and 54 at the time when the tape cassette 1 is set in the cassette mounting part X.
