Abstract: What is described is a device for folding in the end face of a pack (1, 1') consisting of plastic-coated cardboard, the end face of which, in the folded-in state, is quadrangular, as seen in a top view, and has a fold-round transverse sealing seam (5), with a folding part (b) and a counterfolding part (a) which are both driven movably along specific paths of movement by means of at least one lever mechanism (8-13) and under which a conveyor moving the packs (1, 1') in the X-direction is arranged at a distance in the Y-direction, the Y-axis being perpendicular to the X-axis, and the origin of the axes (X, Y) being located in the final folding position of the two folding parts (a, b). So that the bottom of a pack can be folded in in a single step, without a division into a prefolding and a subsequent secondary folding, and so that no machine parts engage into the pack, preferably do not even stand above the open pack, it is provided that a Y-Z plane extending in the Z-direction lies in the Y-axis and is intersected perpendicularly by the X-axis, that the paths of movement of the two folding parts (a, b) extend symmetrically to one another in relation to the Y-Z plane, the paths of movement in the X-Y plane being capable of being described as a superposition of a translational and a rotational movement of the respective folding part, that each folding part (a, b) is fastened to a connecting lever (12) driven in a controlled manner, that a centring device for the pack is arranged symmetrically to the origin of the two axes (X, Y), and that the space of the folding-in device located above the centring device is free of components.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag closing clip which can easily close a bag or the like by solving conventional problems that a conventional clip cannot pinch an end of the bag or the like of approximately 1 cm or more, especially a tube, in closing the bag, tube or the like. SOLUTION: The conventional clip cannot pinch the bag, the tube or the like with a long end because a spring interferes, resulting in air entering to cause a foodstuff or the like inside to be oxidized and rot. It is troublesome to collect the air inside to squeeze a substance in the tube as the air enters. The clip of the invention has the spring located toward one of sides and a portion provided on the other side, which can pinch even a bag with a long end. A person who cannot pinch the clip due to tenosynovitis in a thumb or the like may simply pinch the bag by pressing one side by a hand from upward while the other side which is flat is secured on a table or the like. The clip can easily pinch by a single operation without permitting the air to enter, and can easily close a thick object such as a rice bag. It is most appropriate for closing bags of frozen food, tubes or the like, many of which can be found in a household.
