    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a high-refraction coating compsn. capable of being formed into a coating film having excellent surface hardness, impact resistance, adhesion and antistatic properties, by combining a specific polyfunctional imide-contg. silicon compd. with a sol of a metallic oxide. CONSTITUTION:A polyfunctional imide-contg. silicon compd. of formula I (wherein R and R are each 1-6 alkyl; Q is a monovalent unsubstd. or substd. hydrocarbon group; A is an arom. ring residue; and a and b are each 1-3) (e.g., formula II or III), is mixed with a sol of a metallic oxide (e.g., titanium oxide sol or zirconium oxide sol) to prepare a mixture, which is blended with an alkoxysilane (e.g., glycidoxymethylalkoxysilane) if necessary, and necessary additives such as a solvent and a surfactant. The formed high-refraction coating compsn. is applied on a base material and cured to form a coating film having a high index of refraction.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-resistance film of high performance which can be formed by low-temperature heat treatment by causing a coating solution to contain a solution in which Ag particles greater than a specified average grain size are dispersed. SOLUTION: A coating solution for forming low-resistance film contains a solution in which Ag particles having an average grain size greater than 10nm are dispersed. The solution having Ag particles dispersed therein which is contained in the coating solution for forming low-resistance film is manufactured by mixing a material which enables reduction of Ag compound with an Ag compound solution. This Ag compound is exemplified by Ag salts. Salts, such as, silver nitrate, silver nitrite and silver cyanate, may be used as the Ag salts. The compound, enabling precipitation of Ag by reducing Ag compound, is exemplified by salts of base metals, such as, FeSO4 and SnSO4 , formalin, glucose, Rochelle salt and the like. Before the Ag compound and the reducing component are mixed with each other, a material which forms Ag ions and complex, or a material to be adsorbed to the surface of the generated Ag particles to form protection colloid, is added to the Ag compound.
