    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nail clippers which can be used to cut cutting objects differed in hardness without damage to cutting edges while keeping the cutting quality.SOLUTION: The nail clippers includes: an upper blade member 21; a lower blade member 22; and a pressing lever 28 which presses the upper blade member 21 to mesh an upper cutting edge 21b with a lower cutting edge 22b. The lower blade member 22 includes a flat portion 22c and a bent portion 23 formed on the base side beyond the flat portion 22c. A pressing auxiliary member 30 provided with a pressing portion 30c which presses the upper cutting edge 21b upon operation of the pressing lever 28 is disposed between the upper blade member 21 and the pressing lever 28. The pressing auxiliary member 30 is attached to the base of the upper blade member 21 so as to be in a parallel state to the flat portion 22c or in a hip-up state in which the base side is higher in level than that in the parallel state. When the pressing lever 28 is pressed, the upper cutting edge 21b is meshed with the lower cutting edge 22b with being offset to the base side.
