摘要: PURPOSE: To facilitate the separation and recovery of reaction product in a biochemical reaction process, by contacting a mutually insoluble hydrophilic substrate with a hydrophobic substrate interposing a porous thin film therebetween, and reacting the substrates with each other using an enzyme added to the hydrophilic substrate as a catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A porous thin film 32 is placed in the main body 31 of the apparatus to divide the body 31 into at least two flow paths 33, and each path is provided with an inlet 34 and an outlet 35 of the reaction raw material and reaction product. Mutually insoluble hydrophobic substrate (e.g. higher fatty acid) and a hydrophilic substrate (e.g. glycerol) are introduced separately from the inlet 34 of each flow path and made to contact and react with each other interposing the thin film 32 between the substrate using the enzyme (e.g. lipase) added to the hydrophilic substrate as a catalyst. The hydrophobic reaction product produced by the reaction (e.g. fatty acid glyceride) and the hydrophilic reaction product (e.g. water) containing the enzyme and excess hydrophilic substrate are discharged from the outlet 35 of each flow path.
