    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclohex-2-enone compound used for protecting liver.
    SOLUTION: The compound, 4-hydroxy-2,3-dimethoxy-6-methyl-5(3,7,11-trimethyl-dodeca-2,6,10-trienyl)-2-cyclohex-2-enone, mainly isolated from an extract of Antrodia camphorata, is effective for protecting liver tissue. The cyclohex-2-enone compound from Antrodia camphorata alleviates/reduces levels of liver tissue injury and fibrosis induced by chemical liver injury, reduces the concentration of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), increases the contents of glutathione peroxidase (GSHPx) and catalase (CAT) in liver, reduces the liver damage caused by free radicals, thus increases antioxidant ability of the liver tissue and achieves function and effect of liver protection.
