    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drilling tool in which, even if a core piece is generated, a period of time when the core piece is present in a groove is shortened and which can efficiently pulverize the core piece.SOLUTION: The drilling tool 1 includes: a pedestal 5 which has a shaft 9 at its base end surface and a bit 2 at its top end surface; and a water feed hole 6a which is formed at the top end surface of the pedestal so as to be exposed in a groove 3 which is continuously formed from a base end surface of the bit to a top end surface thereof. The drilling tool 1 drills a member to be drilled W using the bit by making water flow from the water feed hole and rotating the shaft. The pedestal is formed in a cylindrical shape having a diameter smaller than that of the bit and includes a flow passage 6 which is formed from the base end surface of the pedestal to the water feed hole continuously from the shaft. The bit includes a bit notched part 4 at a base end side of at least one wall formed at both sides of the groove. The bit notched part is formed by notching the wall by a size which enables at least a part of the core piece produced from the member to be drilled to intrude into the bit notched part.
