摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tapered cuvette and a method for collecting magnetic particles.SOLUTION: A vessel 2 comprises: an open top part 20; a closed bottom part 18; and at least four tapered sides 4a and 4a'. A method for collecting magnetic particles 82 in fluid 80 is also provided. The method comprises the steps of: providing a magnet 66 and a vessel containing the magnetic particles in the fluid; attracting the magnetic particles to the magnet; and moving the magnetic particles with the magnet out of the fluid. The vessel also comprises a projection on an exterior surface of one side of the vessel.

摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for suspending magnetic particles accumulated on floors of mixing tubes.SOLUTION: The system comprises a reagent cartridge comprising a reagent holder for holding a plurality of tubes. The reagent holder holds a plurality of mixing tubes for holding particles mounted rotatably in the reagent holder, each of the mixing tubes comprising one slot positioned longitudinally. The system also comprises a motor having a linear actuator for engaging the slot and rotating the mixing tubes. The rotation of the mixing tubes actuates agitating members, thereby suspending the particles.

The stacked sequence of the sample holding containers is sent from the rotary carousel into a chute 20, where the sample holding containers come into contact with one set of rotary members 30 and 32 each having a helically threaded part 31. By rotating the helically threaded rotary members, the helically threaded rotary members are engaged with the sample containers, and each sample holding container is separated from the sample holding containers remained in the stacked sequence. Next, the sample holding containers can be transferred in order to be used in an automatic sample analyzer.
