摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved methods and devices for treating spinal instability.SOLUTION: Methods and devices are disclosed for treating the vertebral column. An integrated fixation plate and spacer having a retaining structure within the screw holes of the fixation plate to resist backout of screws attaching the fixation plate to the bone are provided. A movable joint may be provided between the fixation plate and spacer. In some embodiments, a screw hole insert is also provided to resist shear forces acting between the screw and fixation plate. In some embodiments, an integrated fixation plate and spacer system are provided, comprising two or more integrated fixation plate and spacer implants, wherein the fixation plates of each implant has a complementary configuration to allow attachment of the implants at adjacent intervertebral spaces. Alternative fixation systems are also contemplated.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the clinical status of a patient while ensuring the mobility of the patient without performing fusion surgery.SOLUTION: A device, designed to treat facet joint dysfunctions, comprises: a prosthesis body having a first surface and a second surface; a long retainer configured to maintain the position of the prosthesis body in relation to a facet joint; and at least one holder interface capable of holding the long retainer by allowing it to penetrate through the holder interface. The long retainer is provided with a flexible wire or cable (96) extending and penetrating the holder interface, which includes a first portion configured to articulate with a first lateral face of the facet joint and a second portion configured to articulate with a second lateral face of the facet joint.
