PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for forming a high-quality image while simplifying the manufacturing process and reducing the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This carrier 2 is a carrier 2 for a two-component developer. The carrier 2 includes a carrier core material 2a having a volume average particle diameter of 25 μm or larger and 50 μm or smaller and a coating 2b that contains silicone resin having the average molecular weight of 5,000 or smaller as the principal component and covers the carrier core material 2a. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin-coated carrier, in which a carrier core material comprising a porous material having voids therein is used, and a resin-coated carrier having no resin in the voids can be obtained with a smaller amount of the resin. SOLUTION: The method for producing a resin-coated carrier comprising a carrier core material and a resin coating layer formed on the surface of the carrier core material includes an immersion step and heat-drying step. In the immersion step, the carrier core material comprising a porous material having voids therein is immersed in an immersion liquid containing a resin and a foaming agent dissolved or dispersed in a solvent so as to obtain an impregnated carrier core material having the voids impregnated with the immersion liquid. In the heat-drying step, the impregnated carrier core material is heated while agitated at a temperature equal to or higher than the boiling point of the solvent and equal to or higher than the decomposition temperature of the foaming agent to form a film of the resin on the surface of the carrier core material, thereby obtaining the resin-coated carrier having a resin coating layer on the surface of the carrier core material. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable electrophotographic photosensitive member reducing a load in environment in a photosensitive member manufacturing process, achieving high stability in production, preventing the occurrence of fluctuation of sensitivity depending on environment, and providing a high quality image without defect in image such as memory image, and also to provide an image forming device equipped with it. SOLUTION: In this electrophotographic photosensitive member, an intermediate layer is provided between an electrical conductive support body and a photosensitive layer and is formed after it is heat hardened from a coating liquid for the intermediate layer including a block isocyanate compound, a resin having two groups containing active hydrogen reacting with isocyanate group in the block isocyanate compound or more, inorganic oxide particulates, and an aqueous medium. The photosensitive layer is a monolayer photosensitive layer containing at least an electric charge generating substance and an electric charge transport substance or a laminated photosensitive layer constituted by laminating an electric charge generating layer containing the electric charge generating substance and an electric charge transport layer containing the electric charge transport substance in this order or in the reverse order. SOLUTION: An air pump 33a is expanded and contracted by a cam 33b rotated interlocking with rotation of a developing roller 21, a toner supply roller 22 or a toner agitating conveying member 28 and forcibly feeds air to a blow pipe 32b. The air is fed through the blow pipe 32b to an air blow nozzle 31, blown off from each air blow hole 31a of the air blow nozzle 31, and blown to the toner in the vicinity of the toner supply roller 22, the developing roller 21, and the curved tip part 23a of a toner layer thickness regulating member 23. Thereby, the toner is efficiently loosened and favorably circulated by increase of the flowability, and stay of the toner in the vicinity of the toner layer thickness regulating member 23a of the toner layer thickness regulating member 23 is prevented. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that forms an image of high picture quality free of an image defect such as a white stripe by preventing toner from being fused on a doctor blade by a simple mechanical structure requiring no electric control. SOLUTION: The developing device 1 including a development roller 3, the doctor blade, and a rotational driving means 11 for driving the development roller 3 to rotate has a driving force transmitting means 12, including a spring member 17, interposed between the development roller 3 and rotational driving means 11. The developing device 1 performs developing operation by transmitting rotational driving force to the development roller 3 through the spring member 17, makes the spring member 17 absorb part of the rotational driving force to shrink, and rotates the development roller 3 reversely to the rotation in the developing operation by using the restoring force of the spring member 17 in the shrinking state when the developing operation ends and no rotational driving force is applied, thereby removing a toner aggregation sticking on the doctor blade.
