PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means where, regarding a joining method in which a joining material including metal nanoparticles is heated and fired in a state of being held to a space between the two members to be joined, thus the members to be joined are joined, the peeling of the joining material upon a joining operation reducing joining strength is prevented. SOLUTION: In a joining material coating stage, regarding the two members 10 (10A, 10B) to be joined, only the required range in the joining face of either 10A is coated with a joining material 12, and thereafter, the surface of the joining material 12 is coated with a surface coat material 14 in such a manner that it is superimposed at least on the range coated with the joining material 12. Then, joining strength at which peeling is not caused upon a joining operation is secured in the joining material 12 by the joining strength of the surface coat material 14 itself. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing the defective portion of cast parts for repairing the defective portion such as a recessed cavity revealed to the surface of the cast parts without making an internal defect remain. SOLUTION: Since this method of repairing the defective portion includes a first step of forming a recessed part 11 having a sound layer 10 where the internal defect is suppressed in the inside by jetting high-pressure gas while melting recessed cavities 2 revealed to the surface of the cast parts 1 and its periphery and, next, a second step of repairing the cavities 2 by melting the recessed part 11 within the range of the thickness of the sound layer 10 and by applying build-up welding to it, the recessed cavity 2 revealed to the surface of the cast parts 1 can be repaired without making the internal defect remain. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder metal overlay nozzle which is coaxially mounted on a laser machining head to irradiate laser beams to a machining part and discharge powder material to a laser beam irradiation part of the machining part, and capable of uniformly discharging powder metal along a circumferential edge of a discharge port at a nozzle tip even when the axis thereof is inclined to the vertical direction. SOLUTION: The coaxial powder metal overlay nozzle which is coaxially mounted on a laser beam machining head to irradiate laser beams to a machining part and discharge powder material to a laser beam irradiation part of the machining part comprises a body part having an annular powder metal filling space to be filled with powder metal therein, and a nozzle part having a plurality of discharge passages to be connected to the body part, communicating with the powder metal filling space, and opened in a discharge port to discharge the powder metal. The powder metal filling space is divided into filling areas corresponding to each of a plurality of feed passages to feed powder metal which are opened in the body part and opened in the powder metal filling space. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method for surface treated steel sheets, a method that enables dry fine solid particles to be used directly as spacers and that thereby eliminates special post treatment such as a drying process to help improving productivity as well as reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: On one 1 of the two plated steel sheets to be welded, there are deposited fine solid particles 3 such as steel beads for shot peening by means of a cladding laser torch having a fine particle passage. Then, on this surface treated steel sheet 1, the other one 2 is superposed through the fine solid particles 3, and subsequently the superposed parts are laser-welded. Between the two plated steel sheets 1, 2, a minute gap is maintained by the fine solid particles 3; therefore, in the laser welding, gasses generated by the evaporation of the metallic components in the plated layers 1a, 2a are discharged outside through the gap, enabling a quality weld metal 5 free from blowholes to be obtained. In the bottom surface 11 of the punch 10, grooves 15 are formed from a center part 11C toward a circumferential part 11R. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely join the members to be welded by bringing the members to be welded into tight contact by making the portions to be pressurized copy the inclination thereof even when the members to be welded are inclined with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The lap laser welding equipment is configured to pressurize the plurality of overlapped members W1, W2 to be welded into tight contact with each other, and to irradiate the welding points with a laser beam LB and is equipped with a nozzle 1 which is disposed movably with respect to a plurality of the overlapped members W1, W2 to be welded, and inside which the laser beam LB is guided, and a spherical member 2 which is held at the tip of the nozzle 1. A spherical member holding part 10 for slidably holding the spherical member 2 is formed on an inner side at the tip of the nozzle 1. The spherical member 2 has a laser beam transmission section 20 which transmits the laser beam LB guided within the nozzle 1 and a pressurization section 21 which is made to abut on the plurality of the overlapped members W1, W2 to be welded, and pressurizing members. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method using metal nanoparticles, which provides necessary joined strength. SOLUTION: The joining method includes pressing members to be joined (10A) and (10B) with a pressing force of a relatively low pressure (P1) in a relatively early stage. In this pressurizing condition of using the relatively low pressure (P1) (gas venting step), an organic protective film (16) is vaporized because a joining material (12) is heated, so that the porous part in the porous structure constituted by a metal nanoparticle (18) and a binder (20) in the joining material (12) is not excessively squashed by the pressurization. Accordingly, the porous part in the porous structure functions as a gas vent passage for releasing the gas evaporated from the organic protective film (16) therethrough, and makes the gas smoothly released from the interspace between the members to be joined (10A) and (10B). The joining method further includes increasing the pressurizing force from the relatively low pressure (P1) to a relatively high pressure (P2) (pressure-increasing step), when the temperature of the joining material (12) has reached a predetermined level; and joining the members to be joined (10A) and (10B) at the high pressure force (P2) (joining step) to enhance the joined strength. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic projection for preventing link plates from falling off from the ends of the pins of a link chain constituted by longitudinally and transversely connecting the link plates by means of the pins inserted into their pin pores and a method for forming the projection. SOLUTION: Metallic powder is sprinkled over the point to be formed with the projection 12 on the metallic member 10. The metallic powder is irradiated with a laser beam 20.
