Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp apparatus and a bactericidal apparatus, in which a ring discharge can be effectively utilized and general use characteristics can be improved with respect to installation locations in the structure wherein the electrodeless discharge vessel to which exciting coils are wound is arranged in a lean and long outer tube. SOLUTION: A structure is disclosed, which comprises an elongated outer tube 2, one or plural discharge containers 1-1 to 1-4 disposed in the outer tube in a length-wise direction thereof, and one or plural exciting coils L-1 to L-4 wound around the respective discharge container on the length-wise direction of the outer tube.
