PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a conjugate polymer having conductivity and electro chromic characteristics.SOLUTION: A polymer nanofiber and an aggregate of the polymer nanofiber are obtained by subjecting n-hexyl-2,7-di(2-thienyl)carbazole to an electrochemical polymerization in an electrolyte. A film of the polymer nanofiber indicates an electro fluorochromism in which fluorescent light is emitted by irradiation of exciting light of 400-500 nm in a reduced state and light is emitted reversibly based on an oxidation-reduction state by changing applied voltage to the film, and the fluorescent light indicates polarization characteristics.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new conjugated polymer film by electrolytic polymerization using a liquid crystal electrolyte, and also to provide a conjugated polymer film with optical anisotropy using the same. SOLUTION: A conjugated aromatic monomer represented by formula (I) (wherein two A 1 s each independently denotes a monovalent aromatic ring-containing group; n A 2 s each independently denotes a divalent aromatic ring-containing group; and n denotes an integer of 0-3) is electrolytically polymerized in a nematic liquid crystal electrolyte to synthesize the objective conjugated polymer film with orientation.
