Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station antenna for mobile communication, achieving space division communication like a space division multiple access, while avoiding the substantial increase of the installation occupancy area of the base station antenna for the mobile communication without lowering antenna characteristics. SOLUTION: The base station antenna for the mobile communication includes: two antenna element pair arrays 1 wherein a plurality of antenna element pairs 4 having the same polarization characteristic are arrayed; a shield plate 2 provided between the two antenna element pair arrays 1; a feed port 7 for supplying power to the two antenna element pair arrays 1, respectively; and a power distributor 36 connected to the feed port 7, for distributing the power to the two antenna element pair arrays 1. Abstract: A mobile communication base station antenna has a plurality of array antennas. Each of the array antennas has an antenna element pair array including a plurality of antenna element pairs arranged in a vertical plane. Each of the antenna element pairs has two antenna elements having polarization characteristics orthogonal to each other. Two feeding points are provided for feeding an electric power to the two antenna elements respectively. The array antennas are arranged in a vertical plane, and the antenna element pairs included in one of the array antennas and the antenna element pairs included in other of the array antennas are arranged alternately, at least in a part between the array antennas adjacent to each other.

Abstract: A mobile communication base station antenna has a plurality of polarization diversity antenna blocks, each of the polarization diversity antenna blocks including a plurality of polarization diversity antenna elements, each of the polarization diversity antenna elements including antenna elements that are disposed to be orthogonal to each other. The polarization diversity antenna elements of one of the polarization diversity antenna blocks are interposed between the polarization diversity antenna elements of another one of the polarization diversity antenna blocks, and tilt angles in the vertical plane of the respective polarization diversity antenna blocks are different from each other.
