摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor image forming apparatus capable of suppressing color shift or color change in a job, raising quality of an image in a single job and stabilizing quality of an image, an optical scanner, and a method of correcting color shift in the multicolor image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: This multicolor image forming apparatus comprises a color shift detection means 22 for detecting a positional deviation between images respectively corresponding to develop colors, laser beam detectors P1K, P2K for detecting scanning position of a laser beam, and scanning position change means 71, 72, 73 for changing the scanning position of the laser beam in a sub-scanning direction. Each of the laser beam detectors P1K, P2K outputs a change signal for changing the scanning position of the laser beam to the scanning position changing means 71, 72, 73 corresponding to a detected color shift amount and redetects the scanning position of the laser beam corresponding to each of colors before an image is formed. Each of the scanning position change means 71, 72, 73 changes the scanning position again without processing forming of the image when the detected result redetected by the laser beam detector is not less than a set value.
