Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved aqueous-based (hydrophilic) thermally developable blends and materials including thermal conventional type silver ion reducing agents. SOLUTION: Thermally sensitive emulsions are provided which comprise (a) non-photosensitive reducible silver ion source, (b) a hydrophilic binder and (c) a non-crystalline reducing agent composition for the reducible silver ion, wherein the non-crystalline reducing agent composition includes two or more hindered phenol silver ion reducing agents. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sensitometric characteristic of a photothermographic material. SOLUTION: The photothermographic material has one or more imaging layers on a support, wherein the imaging layers contain a hydrophilic binder and the following components a)-d) combined in such a way that they react; a) a photocatalyst, b) a non-photosensitive reducible silver ion source present as an aqueous colloidal dispersion, c) a reducing composition for reducible silver ions and d) a tellurium-containing compound type chemical sensitizer represented by structural formula I, II or III. In the formulae I-III, X, L, X , X , R', p and m are defined as described in the specification.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the viscosity of a dispersion liquid without causing the problem of flocculation. SOLUTION: A hydrophobically capped oligomeric acrylamide or pyrrolidone is used as a dispersant for a hydrophobia material (a photographic additive such as a color coupler or a solid particulate dye) in an aqueous medium containing hydrophilic colloid. The preferred dispersant is a compound of formula (1) or (2). In the formulae (1) and (2), R, R1 and R2 are each selected from aliphatic hydrocarbyl, aryl-(aliphatic hydrocarbyl) and (aliphatic hydrocarbyl)- aryl; L is sulfur or a bonding group containing sulfur bonded to the group T; and T is a hydrophilic oligomer group obtained by oligomerizing one or more vinyl monomers each having an amido functionality.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging element with resistivity for finger print, usual contamination and spilled matter. SOLUTION: A hardenable overcoat composition is applied over an image formed-element including a hardener that is introduced in the top layer of the image formed-element, and thereby the image with resistivity to finger print, usual contamination and spilled matter is formed.
