Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing the power consumption of each of a plurality of transmission reception stations configuring a spread spectrum communication system, particularly, mobile subscriber station units. SOLUTION: In the spread spectrum communication system for maintaining initial transmission power level of a second transmission reception station in an inactive state, a first transmission reception station uses a chip code to be selected associated with a particular spread spectrum signal from the second transmission reception station to apply despreading to a received signal and measures the power level of the particular signal subjected to the despreading. The second transmission reception station sometimes transmits the particular spread spectrum signal to the first transmission reception station for a period when the second transmission reception station is in the inactive state, the first transmission reception station receives the particular signal to measure a noise power level in a communication channel, estimates a transmission power level, compares the measured value with the estimate value, transmits a power automatic control (APC) signal on the basis of a result of the comparison, and the second transmission reception station adjusts the initial transmission power level in response to the APC signal. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce as further as possible power consumption of each of a plurality of transceiver stations constituting a spread spectrum communication system, in particular, of a mobile subscriber station unit. SOLUTION: In a spread spectrum communication system maintaining an initial transmission power level of a second transceiver station in an inactive state, a first transceiver station inversely spreads a reception signal using a selected chip code associated to a specific spread spectrum signal from the second transceiver station and measures a power level of the inversely spread specific signal. In the inactive state, the second transceiver station transmits sometimes the specific spread spectrum signal to the first transceiver and the first transceiver station receives the specific spread spectrum signal to measure a noise power level in a communication channels, estimates a system transmission power level, compares the measured value and estimated value, and transmits an automatic power control (APC) signal to the second transceiver station on the basis of a result of the comparison. In response to the APC signal, the second transceiver station adjusts the initial transmission power level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT

SOLUTION: In a spread-spectrum communication system that maintains an initial transmission power level of a second transceiver station in an inactive state, a first transceiver station despreads a received signal using a selected chip code related to a specific spread-spectrum signal from the second transceiver station and measures a power level of the despread specific signal. The second transceiver station sometimes transmits to the first transceiver station the specific spread-spectrum signal during the inactive state, the first transceiver station receives the signal, measures a noise power level in a communication channel, estimates a system transmission power level, compares these measured and estimated values and transmits to the second transceiver station an automatic power control (APC) signal on the basis of a result of the comparison. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CDMA modem for transmitting/receiving a communication signal including an information signal and a connection control signal via a transmission channel and a reception channel each having first and second pilot signals which are synchronized with each other. SOLUTION: A CDMA modem includes a modem transmitter having a code generator, a spreading means and a global pilot code generator; and a modem receiver having a pilot code generator and pilot code correlators. The code phase of said associated pilot signal is changed responsive to an acquisition signal value until a pilot signal is received. An associated pilot code tracking logic circuit adjusts the associated pilot code signal in phase responsive to the acquisition signal, so that a signal power level of a despread associated pilot code signal is maximized. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce as much as possible electrical power consumption for each of a plurality of transmitting and receiving stations constituting a spread spectrum communications system, especially the consumption of mobile subscriber station units. SOLUTION: In the spread spectrum communications system for preserving initial transmitting electrical power level of a second transmitting and receiving station in a nonactive state, a first transmitting and receiving station spreads inversely received signals by using a selected chip code, associated with specified spectrum spread signals from the second transmitting and receiving station to measure an electrical power level of the specified signals that have been spread inversely. The second transmitting and receiving station transmits, during its nonactive state, the specified spectrum spread signals to a first transmitting and receiving apparatus, and then the first transmitting and receiving station receives the transmitted signals to measure an electrical power noise level within a communication channel, estimate the system transmitting electrical power level and compare the measured value and the estimated value. Based on the comparison result, the first transmitting and receiving station transmits electrical power automatic control (APC) signals to the second transmitting and receiving station. In response to the APC signals, the second transmitting and receiving station adjusts the initial transmitting electrical power level. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
