    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyfluoroalkene in high yield a relatively short time by reacting an allyl halide derivative with a perfluoro-2-pentene in the coexistence of a specific fluoride and an alkali metallic iodide. CONSTITUTION:An allyl halide derivative of formula I (X is halogen; R1 to R3 are H, halogen or 1-20C alkyl) is made to react with a perfluoro-2- methyl-2-pentene to afford the objective polyfluoroalkene of formula II. In the process, at least two fluorides selected from the group of alkali metallic fluorides, alkaline earth metallic fluorides and PbF2 are used in combination (especially preferably a mixture of KF and/or NaF with CsF, BaF2 or PbF2), and alkali metallic iodides (especially preferably KI) are made to coexist. The reaction is carried out in an aprotic polar solvent (especially N,N- dimethylacetamide or N,N-dimethylformamide). The reaction can be carried out even by using an allyl chloride derivative as the raw material. The resultant polyfluoroalkene is useful as a raw material for industrial materials having characteristics such as excellent heat resistance or water and oil repellency.

CONSTITUTION:A release agent comprises a diester of a fluoro carboxylic acid of formula I. In the formula, R1 is a group of formula II wherein Rf if a perfluoroalkenyl group C6F11 or C6F17, or formula III (wherein l is 4-10); and R2 is a group of formula IV (wherein m is 4-18) which may have a branched chain. The release agent may further comprise a fluoro phosphate of formula V and/or a homooligomer of a fluoro acrylate of formula VI or a cooligomer of the fluoro acrylate with an ethylenic unsatd. monomer. In the formula V, n is 1 or 2 and M is a divalent metal (n=2) or an alkanolamine (n=1). In the formula VI, R' is a perfluoroalkenyl group OC6F11 or OC6H17, or a 3-12C perfluoroalkyl group which may have a branched chain.
