    摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain R or S-cysteine inexpensively and simply in high yield, by forming two diastereomer salts from (R,S)-thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid and an optically active amine and separating them. CONSTITUTION:Two diastereomer salts are formed from (R,S)-thiazolidine-4- carboxylic acid which is obtained by blending (R,S)-cycteine and formaldehyde in water and an optically active amine. Then, the salts are dissolved in an aqueous solution of an alkali such as NaOH, etc., a formed oil component of amine is extracted with an ether, etc., and the amine is separated. Then the water layer is adjusted to 4 pH with conc. sulfuric acid, etc., and concen trated to give the aimed substance. R-cysteine is useful for drugs, cosmetics, foods, etc., and S-cysteine is useful as an intermediate for synthesizing antibiotics. (R)-(+)-1-(alpha-Naphthyl)ethylamine, etc., may be cited as the amine.
