    SOLUTION: A rolling element 39 held in a bearing hole 4 of a split yoke 3 is fitted into an inner ring 41 of a shaft section 1a, and a bottom plate 38 sandwiched between a first thrust receiving plate 36 and a second thrust receiving plate 40 is fitted between the shaft section 1a and the bottom of the bearing hole 4, so that the bottom side inner peripheral edge of an outer ring 37 is inserted in the bottom of the bearing hole 4 with the outer peripheral edge of the bottom plate 38, and the outer ring 37 is secured in the bearing hole 4. A securing means of the outer ring 37 to an arm section 3c is installed between the shaft section 1a of a cross shaft 1 and the bottom of the bearing hole 4. Without the need for providing a space of the securing means in the shaft section 1a of the cross shaft 1 which is constant in the centerline direction length, the residue of the shaft section 1a becomes longer by the space one, and the bearing 35 inserted between the shaft section 1a of the cross shaft 1 and the arm section 3c of the split yoke 3 widens so that the load applied on the bearing 35 relatively lessens so as to lengthen the lifetime of the bearing 35.

    摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of a pair of split yokes in an interface thereof in the direction parallel or vertical to the axial direction of a universal joint when connecting flange parts of the pair of integrally connected split yokes and a flange part of a rotary shaft, and to reduce the labor in the work for connecting the flange part of the split yoke and the flange part of the rotary shaft, the work for correcting/thickening the interface, the work for assembling and disassembling the split yokes.
    SOLUTION: The pair of split yokes 23 are integrally connected to each other by a pin 32 embedded in an inserted state into a hole 30 opposite to the flange part 26. When connecting the integrally connected pair of split yokes 23 to a driving side rotary shaft 38 or a driven side rotary shaft 38, even if the fastening torque for fastening a bolt 40 and a nut 41 of each of the pair is different from each other, displacement of the pair of split yokes 23 in a direction in parallel or vertical to the axial direction of the universal joint is hindered by the pin 32 to prevent displacement of the shaft center of opposite two bearing holes 24, and the generation of partial eccentric load inside the bearing 31 can be prevented.
