    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a sufficient sealing function by a labyrinth seal LS in a damper, for absorbing vibration or torque variation of a rotating part, in which the labyrinth seal LS is constituted between a nonrotating side member 4 and the rotating part.SOLUTION: In an elastomer 18 which is attached to a hub 11 integrally rotating with a rotating shaft 3 and is composed of a rubber-like elastic material for absorbing vibration or torque variation, an annular ridge 18a is extensively provided which is closely opposed to the nonrotating side member 4 and constitutes the labyrinth seal LS. The annular ridge 18a is made from a rubber-like elastic material forming the elastomer 18 and is thus provided at low cost, and does not cause a problem such as metal contact even upon interference with the nonrotating side member 4, so that the sealing function of the labyrinth seal LS can be enhanced by reducing a gap with the nonrotating side member 4.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque fluctuation absorption pulley unit capable of restraining enlargement of belt fluctuation without passing through the resonance point of accessory belt system in the rotary drive system upon start of an engine.SOLUTION: The torque fluctuation absorption pulley has a pulley for transmitting rotational torque by stretching an endless belt and which is formed by a combination of an inner circumferential ring and an outer peripheral ring. The pulley has a groove on which an endless belt is stretched around it, on the peripheral surface of the peripheral ring, and the inner circumferential ring and the outer peripheral ring are connected with a circumferential direction spring provided between both the rings. Torque fluctuation is absorbed by a displacement of the outer peripheral ring in the circumferential direction against the inner circumferential ring within the range of the elasticity of the spring in the circumferential direction that is held by the spring of circumferential direction. When the spring of circumferential direction is closely stuck to the outer circumferential surface of the inner circumferential ring or the inner circumferential surface of the outer peripheral ring, the spring does not make an elestic deformation, and both the rings start rotating together.
