Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing deposition of impurities on the discharge electrode of a corona charger, and without uneven charging, and to provide a toner supply container used for the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: In the toner supply container 10, an air blowing mechanism 12 includes an air blowing fan 12b, an air blowing tube 12a and an air inlet coupling member 18. The air inlet coupling member 18 is in close contact with a sidewall of the toner container 11 around an air inlet 16, and includes a skirt 18a made of elastic silicone rubber material that covers a joint part of the air blowing tube 12a and the air inlet 16. An exhaust mechanism 13 includes an exhaust outlet coupling member 19, an exhaust tube 13a and an air cleaning filter 13b. The exhaust outlet coupling member 19 is in close contact with an upper wall of the toner container 11 around an exhaust outlet 17, and includes a skirt 19a made of elastic silicone rubber material that covers a joint part of the exhaust tube 13a and the air outlet 17. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic single component developing apparatus free from problems image defects such as fading caused by the material of a supply roller or from problems such as toner filming on a developing roller, toner deterioration and wear of a supply roller, and capable of forming a high picture quality image having no image failure for an extremely long time. SOLUTION: The nonmagnetic single component developing apparatus comprises a developing roller 4, a supply roller 5, a regulating blade 6, a developing tank 7, and an impeller 8. The developing roller 4 has 45° to 65° spring hardness Hs (A) as the surface hardness. The ratio (Sb/Sa) of the peripheral speed Sb of the supply roller 5 to the peripheral speed Sa of the developing roller 4 is specified to 0.4 to 1.0. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-magnetic one-component development apparatus that can form images of high quality for a long period of time without causing aggregation and liquidity degradation of toner, filming of toner to a developing roller and photoreceptor, toner-fusion to a control blade, and image defects such as ground fog, void, fading or the like. SOLUTION: In the non-magnetic one-component development apparatus 4, a developing roller 5 uses elastic materials with spring hardness of Hs (A) 45-65°, and a feed roller 7 uses foams of continuous closed-cell foam rubber materials having not less than 400/cm 2 in the number of unit cell and not more than 500 μm in the cell diameter. Further, the toner stored in a developer tank 9 uses toner particles containing binder resins and coloring agents that are externally added with inorganic fine particles of 250-600 nm in an average primary particle size. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonmagnetic single component toner having suppressed filming, fog or the like for long-term use and capable of forming an image with stable picture quality. SOLUTION: In the toner prepared by mixing and adding at least two kinds of external additives to toner particles containing at least a polyester resin and a coloring pigment, the external additives are silica fine particles having 5 to 100 nm average particle size and silica melamine composite fine particles having 300 to 1,000 nm average particle size. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner capable of suppressing fogging and preventing filming even after long-term use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner 1 is obtained by locating fine strontium titanate particles 3 and hydrophobic inorganic fine particles 4 whose average particle diameter is 1/10 to 1/3 of that of the fine strontium titanate particles on toner base particles 2 comprising at least a release agent, a colorant and a binder resin and having an average particle diameter of ≤10 μm.
