    Abstract: PURPOSE: To make constant deceleration attainable even if a load or the like varies, by driving a three-position valve of an actuator with a pedal-pressure signal out of a pedal-pressure detecting arm and an output signal corresponding to various conditions of car body weight or the like detected by a car speed sensor signal, while operating a brake.
    CONSTITUTION: When a brake pedal 2 is operated, pedal effort is added to a pedal- pressure detecting arm 19 whereby a pedal-pressure signal is transmitted to a hydraulic control unit 21 together with a signal out of a car speed sensor 22, and deceleration corresponding to the pedal effort is calculated with a signal on the basis of the reference car speed calculated by the unit 21, then a selection signal to an A port is transmitted to a three-position valve 14. Next, oil out of an oil pump 11 is fed to an IN side pressure chamber 10 of a master cylinder 4, pressing pistons 24 and 27, and with oil inside each of both front and rear hydraulic chambers 25 and 29, front and rear wheels 5 and 6 are pushed with pressure, thus braking them. Then, in the deceleration, an actual value of the sensor 22 comes to be lower than the calculated reference car speed, and a selection signal is transmitted to both B and C ports of the valve 14 from the control unit 21, whereby pressure in these hydraulic chambers 25 and 29 is kept up at the B port, and oil in the pressure chamber 10 is put back at the C ports, releasing the applied pressure to wheels.
