PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication repeater for a vehicle that can quickly move into a sleep mode even if there is a give-away terminal.SOLUTION: A communication repeater for a vehicle 100 which permits sleep to one or more terminals connected to a plurality of end terminals is characterized by including: transmission processing means 23 which transmits communication data for each end terminal and counts the number of transmission abnormalities; reception information storage means 25 which stores reception information indicating reception of communication data from the terminal for each end terminal in the past; flag processing means 22 which increases a counter flag provided in each terminal by one if the number of transmission abnormalities has become a first threshold value or more, and sets a prescribed value to the counter flag if the reception information is stored in the reception information storage means; and sleep control means 21 which determines that the sleep condition of the terminal connected to the end terminal is established if the counter flag has become a second threshold value equal to or larger than the prescribed value.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device capable of collecting failure information while suppressing increase in resource and power consumption.SOLUTION: A relay device 100, for use in relaying data to a connector that allows detachable attaching of an external diagnosis apparatus 200 from an electronic control device 11 connected to an on-vehicle network 13, includes: information reception means for receiving vehicle state information and control status information of the electronic control device transmitted to the on-vehicle network; failure information request means for requesting failure information to the electronic control device that has transmitted the vehicle state information and control status information that meet a given condition; failure information recording means for recording, in storage means, the failure information received from the electronic control device; and failure information transmission means for transmitting the failure information stored in the storage means to the external diagnosis apparatus via the connector.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle communication control device which can smoothly perform communication control when a specific external device is connected to a communication network.SOLUTION: The vehicle communication control device mounted to a vehicle includes: a plurality of on-vehicle device control devices which control on-vehicle devices; the communication network to which the plurality of on-vehicle device control devices are connected; and a connection means to which the external device can be connected and which makes the connected external device to be connected to the communication network, wherein at a specific external device connection when the specific external device is connected to the connection means, the plurality of on-vehicle device control devices suppress communication between the vehicle mounted device control devices via the communication network and stops communication disconnection determination processing in the communication network.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle network for efficiently assigning unique IDs.SOLUTION: Plural nodes 100 have: means 20 for storing plural identification number candidates common to each node; a unique identification number 34 unique to each node; number determination means 31 for determining one identification number from the plural identification number candidates; and transmission means 35 for transmitting the unique identification number and the identification number candidates to a management node 200. The management node has: the means 20 for storing plural identification number candidates; duplication determination means 22 for determining whether the plural identification number candidates received from the plural nodes are duplicated or not; node determination means 23 for determining a node to which the duplicated identification number candidates are assigned as identification numbers according to results of comparison between the identification number candidates determined as being duplicated and the transmitted unique identification numbers of the plural nodes; and result notification means 24 for transmitting identification number determination notification to the nodes in which the identification number candidates are not duplicated, or the nodes to which the identification numbers are assigned.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce transition of an incorrect communication node from a low voltage mode to a normal mode.SOLUTION: A relay device for relaying communication between a vehicle outside tool and an electronic control unit comprises a state determination part for determining the state of the vehicle outside tool, and an operation mode control part for controlling an operation mode of the electronic control unit. If the state determination part determines the vehicle outside tool to be in an abnormal state, the operation mode control part stops transition control for the electronic control unit to a communicationable state.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a monitoring load of monitoring means for monitoring a state of a network.SOLUTION: An in-vehicle communication system mounted on a vehicle includes: a plurality of units of information processing means connected with a network for periodically outputting pieces of data to the network; and monitoring means for determining data output by the respective units of information processing means in the shortest period from among the pieces of data periodically output to the network by the respective units of information processing means, and monitoring whether or not the data output in the shortest period is output to the network, and thereby detecting communication abnormality of the in-vehicle communication system.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve security by excluding unintended electronic control unit connection by a simple configuration, regarding a local area network.SOLUTION: In a local area network 10 where a plurality of electronic control units 20 are connected with one another, a capacitance increase means 22 is provided for increasing capacitance on a network configuration to the vicinity of a threshold value for establishing communication on the local area network. The capacitance increase means 22 is a dummy electronic control unit 22 connected to the local area network 10 in parallel with the electronic control units 20, for example, and comprised of an inductor L and a capacitor C.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit that can locate a place where a communication failure has occurred due to a disconnection or contact failure in an in-vehicle network, and to provide an in-vehicle system and a node monitoring method.SOLUTION: The electronic control unit A for monitoring a failure caused in a plurality of nodes B to E, includes a communication blackout detection device 11 that monitors the presence and absence of communication of the plurality of nodes at almost regular time intervals in which the plurality of nodes send one or more messages, and then stores a node whose communication is not detected in the almost regular time interval and the information on a node rank order of less detections. The communication blackout detection device 11 registers the node whose communication is not detected in the almost regular time interval and the information on the rank order at predetermined time intervals.
