PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for automatically adjusting an image of a license plate detected in a recorded image.SOLUTION: At least one set of correction parameters corresponding to a plate subjected to inclined alignment is automatically determined, and an input image of a license plate subjected to inclined alignment is received. An image adjustment module is provided, which automatically adjusts the input image by applying at least one set of correction parameters in order to obtain a corrected image when the input image is received.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system of managing patient medical information including video images.SOLUTION: In a personalized record/video and a method of producing the record/video, stock tutorial record/video information is incorporated into personalized information. The personalized information can include: data that is, for example, inserted, overlaid, or parameterized information (still images, video, audio text or graphics, etc.); sorted sequence of images; sorted differences between one personalized script and another personalized script; and/or a personalized framework for creating a personalized script that generates an asynchronous video.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can more suitably conceal IR watermarks embedded within a printed document independent of temporal variation in the system.SOLUTION: Disclosed are embodiments for generating an infrared mark indicator comprised of security information in a printed image. Image data is rendered to a CMYK image. A black plane of the CMYK image is separated and transformed to a frequency domain, in which the frequency components are alternated to encode a watermarking message. The CMY values are selected based on the encoded black value in order to maintain the same color appearance image for the printed image under a normal visual light illumination. The image data is printed on a background in accordance with the transformed plane. Here, when the remaining printed image is exposed to an infrared illumination, a print pattern is detectable as an infrared mark when scanned with an infrared sensing device.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of the determination of the layout constitution of a number plate.SOLUTION: A training image regulating a number plate is divided, and characters and symbol marks are extracted so that a model can be generated. A value corresponding to the parameter of the number plate and the characteristics of the characters and symbol marks is calculated, and a likelihood function regulated by the characteristics is estimated by using the value. A deviation between the observed plate and the model is measured by using the likelihood function so that at least one model expressing the layout constitution of the number plate can be generated.
