    摘要： A pediatric headrest for skull stabilization and a method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a horseshoe shaped head support includes first and second wings pivotally coupled to a body to adjust the angle therebetween. A gel pad is superposed on the horseshoe shaped head support. First and second arcuate base members are coupled to the first and second wings, respectively, to accept a plurality of placement subassemblies, which are circumferentially adjustably positioned and secured within the channels. Each placement subassembly is configured to receive a skull pin and provide adjustable horizontal, vertical, and angular positioning of the skull pin with respect to the arcuate base.

    摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient transfer device utilized to transport infant patients between locations within a hospital environment.SOLUTION: A patient transfer device 10 includes a center support section 12 and a pair of side sections 14 and 16 that can be moved into contact with each other to surround an infant patient. The first and second side sections each includes a handle 36 that can be brought into close proximity to each other and can be grasped by a single hand of a clinician. The patient transfer device includes a stiffening device that is positioned within the center section to provide support for an infant patient during transport. A hold down device is included on one or both of the first and second side sections to securely hold tubes and wires connected to an infant patient during transport of the infant patient.
