A method of forming an implant to be implanted into living bone is disclosed. The method comprises the act of roughening at least a portion of the implant surface to produce a roughened surface. The method further comprises the act of depositing discrete nanoparticles on the roughened surface though a one-step process of exposing the roughened surface to a solution. The nanoparticles comprise a material having a property that promotes osseointegration.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dentinal tubule sealing material and a dental treatment material comprising the combination of a dentinal tubule sealing material and a curable composition, capable of suppressing pain, hyperesthesia or the like by filling and sealing dentinal tubules with solid particles, giving high adhesiveness of a curable composition to a dentine surface since a solid component adhering to the dentine surface can be removed by rub-cleaning by use of water.SOLUTION: The dentinal tubule sealing material is applied to a dentine surface to fill the dentinal tubules with the solid particles. The dentinal tubule sealing material comprises an aqueous dispersant in which the solid particles are dispersed in a solid/liquid ratio of 0.3 to 2.6. The dentinal tubule sealing material is used in such a way that after the sealing material is applied to the dentine surface to fill the dentinal tubules with the solid particles, the solid component adhering to the dentine surface is removed by rub-cleaning by use of water, and then the curable composition is applied and cured on the dentine surface where the solid component is removed.
