Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for easily accessing a digital medium which can easily be recognized by a user, is linked in a partial area of a document while reducing visual influences upon contents of the target document. SOLUTION: Embedded Media Markers (EMM) indicating medium linkage are disposed so as to overlap a partial area of a document. In an area of an EMM, feature points enough for identifying a part of the document are disposed while being adjusted to be included therein, and information related to the feature points is stored on a database in association with the linked digital medium. A user photographs the EMM and analyzes feature points of the photograph, thereby acquiring the linked digital medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved binary color matching feedback control system and method for hiding an infrared marking.SOLUTION: The system includes: an inline spectrophotometer sensor for measuring mixture of two or more colors; and a color matching feedback control unit for adjusting the mixture of the two colors to make coincident how the mutual colors look. Colors to be customized can be selected from a smaller overall range of darker colors, and a sufficient difference of black toner (k toner) between the mixture of the two colors is maintained so that it is possible to provide a sufficient contrast for infrared detection. First matching is provided by integrating a color model which is similar to predicted mixture of colors, then the two colors are plotted before a hidden symbol is plotted, and the two colors are adjusted so as to be made much more coincident. A color difference between a colorant of the hidden symbol and a peripheral colorant is suppressed to the minimum, and the other toner quantity is adjusted such that it is difficult for an observer to find out the existence of the hidden symbol under standard conditions.
