Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for efficiently cutting a face gear to be meshed with a helical gear.SOLUTION: When a circular tooth thickness of a tooth tip of a cutting edge part is represented as S, a circular tooth thickness on a virtual outside diameter of a tooth profile of the helical gear in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to an axis is represented as S, a helix angle on the virtual outside diameter of the tooth profile of the helical gear in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to the axis is represented as β, and a face width of the cutting edge part is represented as b, formula is satisfied.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milling cutter tool designed to be used for gear hobbing by a simple feed operation. SOLUTION: The milling cutter tool 1 is suitable for gear hobbing, which comprises, on one hand, a basic body 1 having a geometrical center axis C1 around which the same is rotatable, and, on the other hand, a number of replaceable cutting bodies 2 each one of which includes a set of teeth 17, which are situated with a uniform pitch P along a side of the cutting body. A support surface 9 for the individual cutting body formed in a pocket 8 of the basic body is tilted at a negative axial angle of at least 0.5° in relation to the center axis of the basic body in order to locate the teeth 17 of the cutting body 2 along a common, imaginary helical line X, which is concentric with the center axis of the basic body and has a uniform pitch P, which corresponds with the spacing between the teeth. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact all-gear full traction differential including meshing pairs of side-gear worms and worm-wheel balance gears having a hybrid design.SOLUTION: The teeth of each side-gear worm 65 have a helix angle equal to or greater than 45° and significantly chamfered ends, and the gears are designed to provide a gear ratio between 1.5:1 and 2.5:1. The numbers of teeth in a spur-gear portion 68 and a worm-wheel portion 56 of each balance gear 55 and in each side-gear worm are all divisible by 2 or by 3, preferably by both 2 and 3.
