SOLUTION: Throw-away tips 5 -1 , 5 -2 constituting a center edge 8 and an outer circumference edge 9 are mounted on a tip end of a drill body 1. 摘要: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a twist drill that can suppress formation of exit burrs and burr caps while maintaining drill performance.SOLUTION: A metal-working twist drill includes inner cutting edges forming a point (18) having an angle A of 130°. The outer peripheral parts of cutting edges (55 and 57) form outer cutting parts (59 and 61). The outer cutting part is inclined in a direction opposite to a corresponding inner cutting edge, and forms an angle B of 3° with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the twist drill. The width D of the cutting edge of the outer cutting part is 10.5% of the diameter of the twist drill. The metal-working twist drill can bore a hole having a reduced burr height.
