The outer cutting part is inclined in a direction opposite to a corresponding inner cutting edge, and forms an angle B of 3° with respect to a plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the twist drill. The width D of the cutting edge of the outer cutting part is 10.5% of the diameter of the twist drill. The metal-working twist drill can bore a hole having a reduced burr height.
