PURPOSE:To obtain an animal feed having both rapid activity and slow activity, and extremely high protein score, by using glycosylurea-urea compound as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The glycosylurea-urea compound of formula obtained by the reaction of D-glucose with urea in the presence of an acid catalyst such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, etc. is used as an active component of an animal feed. The compound can be used as it is as a protein feed having high protein score, or by adding to a formula feed such as carbohydrates e.g. corn, barley, or other crops, or a cellulosic material such as straw, hay, vegetable feed, etc. in an amount of e.g. about 0-25%.

This invention provides a ruminant feedstock with a content of non-protein nitrogen supplement which yields a safe controlled-release generation of ammonia under rumen incubation conditions. In another embodiment, this invention provides a ruminant feedstock supplement for controlled-release of non-protein nitrogen which comprises urea particles encapsulated with a rumen-degradable polymeric coating.

PURPOSE: To obtain a protein feed which prevents ammonia poisoning and is high in an internal utilizing rate by mixing urea with starch and extrusion- processing it without water. CONSTITUTION: Ten to twenty wt.% urea (A), 50 to 70 wt.% starch feed (B) and 10 to 35 wt.% protein feed are mixed and extrusion-processed without water. A urea content is adequately controlled to improve the resolving and adsorbing rate of urea and the gelatinizing degree of starch. A proper quantity of sulfur or UGF including feed are added at need.
