    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen a risk in sewing together a filter medium as far as possible. SOLUTION: A filter medium is composed of a filter texture 1 comprising a glass fiber covered by a staple fiber 2. The staple fiber 2 is composed of a polymer which is thermally solidified and chemically stabilized, and is bonded to the filter texture 1. The filter texture 1 is at least 350 g/m in its area weight and at least 0.5 mm in thickness. A fineness of the staple fiber is 0.80 dtex to 8 dtex, and its incision length is at least 20 mm. The staple fiber 2 is equipped with a polymer cover to be fitted after sewing together, and its weight is at most 40% of total weight of the filter medium.

CONSTITUTION: In a double layer structure sheet comprising an inorganic fiber layer consisting essentially of glass fibers and an organic fiber layer composed of chemically synthesized fibers, the inorganic fiber layer is laid at the upper part and the organic fiber layer is arranged at the lower part. The objective sheet material comprises 20-50wt.% based on the sheet weight of the chemically synthesized fibers having 30-60% heat shrinkage percentage at 140 deg.C.

SOLUTION: This method for preforming reinforcing fiber materials used for producing an FRP molded article into a molded article comprises a process for forming a mold 1 adapted to the shape of the FRP molded article, a process for integrally adhering plural cloth-like reinforcing fiber materials 8 to each other with a binder expressing adhesivity with a volatile organic solvent in a state adhered to the molding portion 2 of the mold 1 with the volatile organic solvent, and a process for evaporating the volatile organic solvent adhered to the cloth-like reinforcing fiber materials 8 to form and fix the cloth-like reinforcing fiber materials 8 into an integrated fiber-reinforced material molded article along the molding portion 2B of the mold 1.
