PURPOSE:To improve the lubricating function at a high temperature by forming a coating layer impregnated with solid lubricating material such as CaWO4, etc., in ZrO2 of the surface of a base material. CONSTITUTION:The inner seal 2 of a rotary heat storage type heat exchanger for a gas turbine comprises a base material formed of heat-resisting stainless steel, a shoe 11 formed with a coating layer 11a on the slidable contact surface 13 of a core, and a diaphragm formed of heat resistant spring material mounted at the opposite slidable contact surface 13 side. The layer 11a is so formed that powder impregnated with solid lubricating material such as CaWO4, etc., is formed in a thickness of 0.1-2mm on the surface of the shoe 11 by plasma spraying, etc., after ZrO2 is partially stabilized with Y2O3. The layer 11a has high heat resistance and low frictional coefficient due to the impregnation of the lubricating material to become a surface hardened layer having excellent lubricating properties, and no peeling of the layer 11a from its base material occurs.

摘要: PURPOSE:To provide a rotary heat exchanger in which no deterioration occurs at a seal part even if each of the parts constituting a seal device of the rotary type heat exchanger produces an error due to thermal expansion of uneven temperature distribution. CONSTITUTION:Four generally D-shaped openings arranged at a casing 4 are inlet and outlet ports for low temperature gas and high temperature gas. The low temperature gas and the high temperature gas are passed to a rotary heat accumulating type rotor arranged within the casing 4 without being mixed from each other so as to perform a heat exchanging operation. This invention relates to such a seal device for a rotary type heat exchanger constructed as above. The low temperature gas and the high temperature gas are separated within the casing 4 by a generally D-shaped seal member 9 comprises of a linear part and a curved part and a bellows with a generally D-shape and a V-shaped cross section contacting with an entire circumference of a seal member 9. When the outside part of the bellows 7 is kept at a higher pressure than that of the inner side, a guide member for preventing deformation of the bellows 7 is arranged at an outside part of the bent part connecting this linear part and the curved part as well as an inside part of the linear part of the generally D-shaped bellows 7. The wall thickness of the seal member 9 on the low pressure side may be thicker than that of the high pressure side.

摘要: PURPOSE:To enhance sealing performance by minimizing the generation of warp or strain. CONSTITUTION:A straight running part 3 of a sealing board 1 is cut in the middle part and arranged so that both end edges 3a is opposed to each other with a small span G1 separated while recessed parts 4 are formed on both end edges. An auxiliary sealing board 5 whose shape is matched with the recessed parts are laid out in the recessed parts and fixed with a support member 7. This constitution makes it possible to eliminate the generation of warp or strain induced by thermal expansion or push force from a lateral direction, thereby securing excellent sealing performance.

摘要: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the thermal strain in a seal for preventing leakage of fluid between an end face and a housing owing to contact of a rotary type heat-exchanger with the end face of a heat accumulating core. CONSTITUTION:A cross arm seal 4 is brought into contact with the end face of a core 1 across the high temperature side 1H and the low temperature side 1L of a heat accumulating core 1. Opening-in taper surfaces 52 and 62 are formed at semi-arcuate outer peripheral seals 5 and 6 at an outer peripheral seal part 2 formed at the end face of the outer periphery of the core 1. The outer seals are brought into contact with a cross arm seal 4 at cardinal points 51 and 61 and arms 10 and 11 extending from the outer peripheral seals 5 and 6 along the cross arm 14 are bound with each other on a line 0, passing the cardinal points 51 and 61, by means of a C-type metal fixture 14.

摘要: PURPOSE:To reduce a wear of a cross arm seal for partitioning high and low pressure sides and to decrease a carry-over loss of high pressure gas in a heat exchanger between gases having a temperature difference and a pressure difference. CONSTITUTION:A communication passage 60 having a high pressure side recess 60a, a low pressure side recess 60b and a communication part 60c is provided longitudinally of a slide surface of a cross arm seal 45. The high pressure air enclosed by the seal 45 in a honeycomb of a core 21 is fed into a honeycomb of a low pressure side, and fed into a combustion chamber by the rotation of the core 21. The pressure of the gas to be operated between the core 21 and the seal 45 is set to an intermediate pressure between the high pressure side and the low pressure side thereby to reduce a contact pressure, thereby preventing wear.
