PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain synchronization of clocks and a plurality of frames having different periods, between electronic switching systems with a small number of signal lines.SOLUTION: In a radio communication system including first and second switching systems respectively connected to a plurality of base stations having different frame periods, the first switching system includes: clock generation means 104, 105 and 106 for generating clocks; frame generation means 107 for generating a plurality of frame signals of different periods for the base stations by using outputs from the clock generation means; and output means 109 and 110 for changing the plurality of frame signals of different periods into mutually different pulse widths, to output them to the second switching system. The second switching system includes reception signal extraction means for generating a plurality of frame signals of different periods from the received signal at timing in accordance with the different pulse widths.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for measuring and analyzing multiple data sources on a communications network so as to ascertain information on usage of one or more resources, such as resource servers.SOLUTION: A data collection and processing means (20) collects and processes the data sources which are forwarded to a reporting server as a combined data source made available to interested parties. The method comprises the steps of: obtaining a data source for a first group containing one or more monitored resources; obtaining a further data source for a second group containing one or more monitored resources or a group containing monitored users; and combining the data source and the further data source to form a single data source available to interested parties so as to ascertain usage information on one or more resources.

A technique for providing high speed data service over standard wireless connections via an unique integration of protocols and existing cellular signaling is disclosed. Channel resources are allocated according to a buffer monitoring scheme between a base station (104) and multiple subscriber units (101-1,...,101-n). Each buffer (440-1,...,440-N) is monitored over time for threshold levels of data and a probability is calculated that takes into account the arrival of data into the buffer (440-1,...,440-N).
