    Abstract: PURPOSE: A defroster of a refrigerant circuit and a rotary compressor for the refrigerant circuit are provided to prevent separation of a vane in defrosting of an evaporator and prevent deformation of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A defroster of a refrigerant circuit includes a rotary compressor(10) discharging a refrigerant gas, having been compressed by a first rotary compressing unit(32) into a hermetic vessel(12), and further compressing the discharged intermediate-pressure refrigerant gas in a second rotary compressing unit; a gas cooler(154) in which refrigerant discharged from second rotary compressing unit of the rotary compressor flows; a pressure reduction device connected to an outlet side of the gas cooler; and an evaporator(157) connected to an outlet side of the pressure reduction device. The first rotary compressing unit compresses refrigerant coming out from the evaporator. The rotary compressor has cylinders constituting the second rotary compressing unit; rollers eccentrically rotating in the cylinder; a vane dividing the inside of the cylinder into a low-pressure chamber and a high-pressure chamber by coming in contact with the roller; a spring member elastically supporting the vane to the roller side; and a back pressure chamber.

CONSTITUTION: This screw compressor has two-stage compressors of a low pressure stage compressor 2 and a high pressure stage compressor 3. A cooler part composed of the intercooler and the aftercooler and a speed increaser casing part are separately arranged to reduce influence exerted on the speed increaser casing by heat of compressed air.

    Abstract: The multicylinder rotary compressor has a number of cylinders housing rolling pistons which are rotated inside the cylinders by a common crankshaft. Each cylinder has a separate suction pipe. At least one of the suction pipes has a check valve which may be closed to unload the cylinder to which the suction pipe is connected. The check valve has a housing and a slider. The check valve may be closed by introduction of high-pressure refrigerant gas into the space beneath the slider to push it to the closed position when a cylinder is to be unloaded. Alternatively, the check valve is closed by a spring made of a shape-memory alloy and a heater for heating the spring above a prescribed temperature at which the alloy changes shape.
