摘要: It is an objective of the present invention to provide a method for producing an air-permeable composite sheet which has excellent mechanical strength and compression resistance as well as PTFE's innate property such as air-permeability, water repellency, heat resistance and chemical resistance; and a filter and a fabrics material containing the air-permeable composite sheet produced by the method as a constituent material. The method for producing an air-permeable composite sheet according to the present invention is characterized in comprising steps of filling pores of a porous PTFE sheet with a hardenable material solution; hardening or semi-hardening the porous PTFE sheet filled with the hardenable material solution; and expanding the hardened or semi-hardened porous PTFE sheet.

The thus formed optical film may have optical characteristics similar to those of prior-art optical film. Therefore, a retardation film or a protective film may be manufactured using cheaper and more accessible raw materials.

摘要: A polarizer formed by a polarizing film, a cycloolefin system resin film and a cellulose acetate film is provided. The cycloolefin system resin film is laminated on one side of the polarizing film which consists of polyvinyl alcohol system resin. The cellulose acetate film is laminated on the other side of the polarizing film. Suitable bonding agent is selected to enhance adhesion between the protection films and the polarizing film. A hydrophilic first bonding agent containing polyester system ionomer type ethyl carbamate and the glycidyl compound is used to laminate cycloolefin system resin film to the polarizing film. A hydrophilic second bonding agent containing different elements, for example, polyvinyl alcohol system resin solution is used to laminate cellulose acetate film to the polarizing film.

摘要: A polarizer composed of a film having a structure wherein micro regions are dispersed in a matrix of translucent thermoplastic resin which contains an absorbing dichromatic dye. The polarizer is characterized that the transmittance is not less than 80 %, the haze value is not more than 10% with respect to a linearly polarized light in the transmitting direction, and the haze value is not less than 50 % with respect to a linearly polarized light in the absorbing direction. The polarizer is a dye polarizer having high transmittance, high polarization degree, and high reliability in thermal resistance. The polarizer can suppress variation in transmittance at the time of black display.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for continuously stretching a web (10) of thermoplastic sheet into an arcuate form of desired curvature for the manufacturing of laminated windshields are disclosed. The apparatus comprises conventional heating rolls (1,2), but employs at least two adjustable multispoke pyramids, one hot setting pyramid (6) and one cooling pyramid (7). The pyramids are separated by a wall incorporating a folding bar (30). The method herein relates to the manufacture of cut shaped blanks wherein the hot setting and cooling steps are physically separated. The residual snap back after the hot setting step is released prior to the cooling step.
