A plurality of light receiving modules(162) senses the laser. A control device(140) stores an originating location of the ultrasonic wave through angles and RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) of the ultrasonic wave and the laser light. An image drawing device updates a drawing image with the data.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method of field inspection for generating a digital map are provided to improve the reliability and accuracy of a digital map, since manual work is automated during the production of digital map. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus and a method of field inspection for generating a digital map comprises a communication interface(110), a camera unit(120), a measuring unit(130), a search scan unit(140), a matching unit(150), a display unit(160), an input unit(170), a deviation compensation unit(182), and an edition unit(184). The communication interface is a transceiver. The camera unit photographs artificial features and natural features through a camera. The measuring unit measures location coordinate values in real time. The search scan unit applies coordinates, which the measuring unit measures, on the scanned image of the natural feature and the artificial feature. The matching unit additionally matches property data of the corresponding artificial features and the natural feature. The input unit adds, deletes, and corrects difference of artificial features, natural features, and property information. The deviation compensation unit compensates difference between two coordinates. The edition unit edits the digital map data and the property information data.

PURPOSE: A 3D image drawing system for making a GPS map by an air picture and a ground picture is provided to check a location among location measuring devices by an ultrasonic wave, thereby drawing an accurate land building image. CONSTITUTION: An image drawing device receives data from the first and second location measuring devices(100,100',200). The image drawing device completes a land building image using a boundary point. The image drawing device matches an operated center point with a representative GPS coordinate of a corresponding building. The image drawing device operates the height of the land building from distances among the location measuring devices. The image drawing device updates a drawing image stored in a numeric map database.
