摘要: Provided is a means for rapidly performing and stably continuing a treatment using anaerobic ammonia oxidation which is performed in treating nitrogen-containing wastewater. The wastewater treatment method used herein includes: a nitrous acid type oxidation step for oxidizing a part of ammonia nitrogen contained in wastewater into nitrite nitrogen in the presence of anaerobic ammonia oxidation bacteria; a dilution water supply step for supplying the oxidized wastewater with dilution water which reduces at least one of the concentration of the nitrite nitrogen and the concentration of the dissolved oxygen in the wastewater; and a denitrification step for converting the ammonia nitrogen and the nitrite nitrogen contained in the oxidized wastewater to nitrogen gas in the presence of the anaerobic ammonia oxidation bacteria.

摘要: The conventional problem in which the degradation efficiency of 1,4-dioxane decreases and in which 1,4-dioxane becomes released into the atmosphere when treating 1,4-dioxane-containing wastewater by using 1,4-dioxane-degrading bacteria is solved. A treatment device (10) is provided with: a first biological treatment tank (12) which is equipped with a first aeration means (26, 28) for aerating wastewater, has at least organic substance-degrading bacteria for biologically degrading organic substances other than 1,4-dioxane, and obtains primary wastewater by bringing the wastewater into contact with the organic substance-degrading bacteria while aerating the wastewater; a second biological treatment tank (14) which is equipped with a second aeration means (30, 32) for aerating the primary wastewater, has at least 1,4-dioxane-degrading bacteria for degrading 1,4-dioxane, and brings the primary wastewater into contact with the 1,4-dioxane-degrading bacteria while aerating the primary wastewater; a collection means (16) which collects gas released from the wastewater as a consequence of aerating the wastewater in the first biological treatment tank (12); and an introduction means (18) for introducing the entire collected gas or a portion of the collected gas into the second biological treatment tank (14).
