    Abstract: PURPOSE: An acrylic resin-treated pigment composition and pigment dispersion are provided to prevent the aggregation in filtering or drying, to disperse the composition to a miniaturization level, and to enable use as an image formation agent or a coloring agent for an image display. CONSTITUTION: An acrylic resin-treated pigment composition comprises organic pigments treated by acrylic resins. The content of pigment is 5~95 mass %. In the acrylic resin, (i) 90 mass% or more of a monomer is a (meth)acrylate-based monomer(a) and 20 mass% or more of the monomer(a) is a (meth)acrylate monomer with aromatic rings or cycloaliphatic alkyl groups; (ii) the number average molecular weight of a polystyrene conversion at a gel permeation chromatograph is 2,000~20,000 and the dispersity showing the distribution of molecular weight is 1.4 or less; and (iii) the glass transition temperature is 50 °C or greater.
